Duesenberg SJ Town Car Rollson 37 Closed by Esval Models
Duesenberg SJ Town Car Rollston 1937 Roof Closed
Alternative version ESVUS43004B ESVUS43004C & ESVUS43004D
Ordered by German abstract artist Rudolf Bauer, this was the last Duesenberg chassis laid down and was to be delivered to Germany for coachwork to be added there. Bauer fell foul of Hitler’s regime and after a period in prison managed to buy his freedom and escape to the US, where he provided detailed drawings to Rollston to build the body on his car. It is a most unusual design intended to accentuate the length of the machine rather than hide it as most coachwork did. One striking feature of the car was the violet upholstery and with several options ranging from roof fully closed, in town car form, fully lowered and with windows either up or down there are varying levels of interior detail visible. Whichever version you choose you will have very attractive model of a spectacular machine and at an extremely competitive price.
