Lotus 79 World Champion 1978 1:20 by Hasegawa
It is unfortunate for Hasegawa that their kit of the Lotus 79 has appeared at almost exactly the same time as Tamiya's but we are sure that many modellers may well take the option of building one of each. The level of detail is very similar though the approach is slightly different and a few of the parts don't quite have the same finesse with slightly larger parts moulded together. The decals are excellent and include all of the Goodyear logos for the body and the tyres and for those taking the etched detailing set as well as the kit, there is the option of stencilling the tyres instead. This etched set also includes various grilles, side skirts, brake parts and seat belt buckles. The belts themselves are fabric webbing and the detail set also includes pre-shaped mesh covers for the inlet trumpets. All in all a very good kit.
