HWM-Alta Monaco 1955 #24 Whiteaway by Jade Miniatures
Hand built available JAD43157M
This was the very last HWM single-seat race car and it appeared at the Monaco Grand Prix as a private entry for Ted Whiteaway in his only World Championship outing, but he failed to qualify. The shape of the car was rather unusual with a large bulge for the Alta engine making it look as if it has a squashed nose. The shape of the body in Jade’s kit is pretty faithful and the castings are clean with just a little flash to trim off. The kit is in Jade’s typical style with a few castings, simple etched suspension and fine wire wheels. The wheels will need painting and colour images of both the real car and completed model are included on the instructions sheets.

About Jade Miniatures
A well established range of well thought out kits and hand built models of competition cars, mostly from the golden era of the 1950s and 60s. The kits are generally pretty simple with well cast resin bodies, small numbers of resin and white metal ancillaries and a modest amount of etch. In the case of open wheeled subjects, the etch usually includes most or all of the suspension. Hand builts generally well finished. Made in France.
