Ford GT40 Le Mans 1966 #12 Comstock by Marsh Models
Kit available MM271
Although the property of Fred English and usually raced by his team, chassis 1017 was entered under the Comstock Racing banner at Le Mans in 1966 with Jochen Rindt and Innes Ireland scheduled to drive. Ireland didn’t get a chance as the engine failed after just eight laps. The photo that we have of the car in the paddock is presumably after this failure as it’s on the end of a tow rope! The decoration on the model matches this well, including the decal tape around the headlight covers and the finish is up to Marsh’s usual high standards.

About Marsh Models
Well established maker of high quality 1:43 kits and hand-built models. Kits feature very precisely moulded resin bodies requiring minimal clean up, equally good white metal ancillary parts, very fine photo-etching where necessary, machined wheel rims, bespoke resin tyres and clearly printed decals. Instructions usually a clearly drawn exploded diagram and often include a sample paint chip if the main body colour is an unusual one. Hand-builts beautifully built and detailed, usually from a series of 100 pieces but LE range typically from only 25. Made in England
