Porsche 906 Daytona 24hrs 1967 #56 Habegger/Voegele by Spark
Porsche 906LH Daytona 1967 #56
Alternative version SPK5421 #55
There were two Swiss entered long tail 906s in the 1967 Daytona 24 Hours, one of Dieter Spoerry which finished fifth and this one entered by Charles Voegele, which retired having crashed and caught fire! The best images of the car from the race weekend are before the start and the model matches these very well with the few small supplier logos, race numbers and stripes all neatly applied and the correct small rectangular pit identification light mounted on the nose. The very basic etched parts to represent the rear body catches could be better detailed, but otherwise a fine model.

About Spark
The range which changed the 1:43 model market and for which we coined the term 'resincast'. Resin rather than traditional diecast bodies mean that relatively short production runs can be made and what might be marginal subjects become viable. Quality is very consistent with plenty of fine etch used where necessary. A huge range is the result, covering all aspects of (mostly postwar) motorsport and a wide variety of road cars. We typically see around 30 new subjects released per month and pre-orders are strongly recommended. Made in China & Madagascar.
