Miniatures Automobiles are continuing in the best traditions of
the old PM and have already released the first cars from this years
Le Mans 24 Hours. Just 1 month after the race kits have arrived
for the winning Audi (PMA0064 - above) and the Spyker (PMA0057).
Both kits offer two options, the Audi, the two Le Mans Champion
team cars and the Spyker as raced at Sebring as well as at La Sarthe.
The next releases may well be here by the time you're reading this
and should include the GT class winning Corvette C6R (PMA0056).
As fast as they arrive, Ron Peggs will be building them and sharing
his findings with us. The finished models will be on display in
our showroom, along with Ron's current display featuring 518 of
the 528 Le Mans entries from the 1960s! |

First
of all, our thanks to all those who sent messages of support following
the recent events in London. We hope that you and yours are all unaffected........
on a happier note, This Way Up announced a new, non-F1 related release
recently. Baby Erin arrived safely on July 14th and she, mum Lee-Ann
and dad Adriaan are all doing well. Congratulations........ we have
a new range just starting to arrive at GPM, History Car 43 by Lilliput
is devoted to the small (mostly Fiat-powered) 'etceterini' which
made up significant portions of the entry lists in the Mille Miglia.
You will find a couple of photos in this issue and we will bring
you reviews next time. We can say at this stage that they are for
the 'keen' collector...... late arrivals for this issue include three
new Indy 500 winners from Formula Models....... Gasoline are joining
the highly competitive, relatively low cost hand built market with
a number of Le Mans and FIA GT Ferraris and Maseratis, all based
on sister company BBR's kits...... and another new name to the fray
will be Car Pin, who are making Abarth models based on selected Barnini
base kits....... Tamiya are working on a 1:12th kit of the Ducatti
Desmosedici Moto GP bike...... in addition to the Le Mans annual
(story top left) we also now have release dates for most of the other
major yearbooks. Autocourse is due in November and will be followed
in December by Automobile Year, Rallycourse and Motocourse. Order
now to receive your copy from the first deliveries...... |
