Two Alfa Romeos dominate the top row of our cover this issue.
On the left is one of the very attractive new hand builts
from Alfa Model 43, the 6C 2500SS Ala Spessa from the Targa
Abruzzo 1939 (AM430212). To the right of the 6C we move
forward 64 years to the stunning 8C Competizione concept,
coming soon from ABC Brianza as a kit (BRK43208) or hand
built (ABC208).
Lining up on row two, the rather unusual looking white machine is the 1953 Pegaso
Z103C Bisiluro offered as a ‘die-cast’ by Bizarre (BIZ127). The bright
orange machine alongside brings us bang up to date and is, we think, one of the
best looking cars from the 2005 Le Mans 24 Hours. It’s the Racing for Holland
Dome-Judd and is made as a kit (PMA0070) and hand built (PMA0070M) by Provence
Miniatures Automobiles.

We
have another 2005 machine on row three, BBR’s interpretation
(BBP372 - kit, BBG286 - built) of the Red Bull Maserati MC12
from the FIA GT Championship. The red single seater to the
right is Tameo’s kit (TMK344) of Regazzoni’s
1970 Italian GP-winning Ferrari 312B, built by FSW reader
and contributor Chris Clay. More from Chris on this kit in
a future issue.
Finally we have two larger scale models. The Lancia D50 is in 1:12th scale and
is due any day from MG Models and this kit (MGMP1234) offers three options from
the 1955 Monaco GP including Ascari’s practice car (MGM1234MA). Last but
by no means least, a model that we have been eagerly awaiting finished photos
of, Model Factory Hiro’s kit (HIR24076) of the AC Cobra Daytona.
