Stanguellini by Candini & Manicardi ( Italian text) - £13.99 (ISBNX00000930X)
- 600g
Maybe not as famous as Abarth but no less significant, this book tells
the story of Vittorio Stanguellini and his company who produced racing
cars and tuning parts based ( mostly) on Fiats throughout the 40's,
50's and 60's. If you read Italian this will be absolutely fascinating,
if you don't (like us) you will have to make do with the excellent
pictures, captions and results tables where you will find names such
as Musso, Fangio and Bandini among many others. Some of the subjects
in this book are truly beautiful and deserve to be modeled.

Finnish Grand Prix, 50
Years of Rallying - £25.00 (ISBN9529128924)
- 1.3kg
Published to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 1000 Lakes Rally
this A4 format hard-backed book is a fascinating read. Many of the
action packed photos have never been published before and some are
quite amazing. There is even photographic evidence that a Goggo 400
will fly!!!! The text is brief but informative with top ten listings
for every year and many amusing anecdotes from various competitors
over the years. The diversity of machinery that has been used is barely
believable and while the book may not be that helpful for model research
it is a must for rally fans.
Trans-Am, The Pony Car Wars 1966-1972 by Dave Friedman (Mbi) - £29.99
(ISBN0760309434)
-1.8kg
The Trans-American Sedan Series was one of the most colourful and
fiercely contested series ever run. This superb volume covers the
races, cars and drivers from the first race held at Sebring in 1966
through to end of the 72 season when manufacturer interest was vanishing
and things didn't look too bright. The book is packed with race photos,
a large number of which are in colour and shows the wonderful diversity
of machinery from Minis to Mustangs and will - we hope - prompt some
colourful new model subjects to be produced. A leading British classic
car magazine has just nominated this publication as their Book of
the Month and we can see why.

- 700g
A thorough statistical review of Earnhardt's 22 seasons in Nascar.
There are a few very good colour photos dotted about but unless you
are a committed NASCAR or Earnhardt fan you will find it rather soul-less.

Goodwood Festival Of Speed 21-22-23 June '96 £15.00
In 1993 Charles, Earl of March decided to invite the owners of some
of the best vintage machinery to play on the front drive of his home,
Goodwood House. This event has rapidly become one of the most important
dates in the historic motorsports calendar. These videos capture the
unique atmosphere of this wonderful event superbly. The camera work
and editing is of the highest quality and the commentary clear and
informed. Highlights include Moss and 'Jenks' taking the hill in the
300 SLR to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their historic 1955 Mille
Miglia win and John Surtees leading up a collection of classic racing
bikes. The overall quality of machinery on display can best be described
as 'pornography for petrolheads'! The first tape is only 30mins long
but the others are approximately 90mins each and offer great value.
Whether you've never been or are feeling nostalgic about previous
visits, these tapes are a must. |
