Tamiya
Tamiya - New 1:20th plastic kit

TAM20049

Ferrari F1-2000 France 2000 - clear view

£25.00

Tamiya's excellent World Championship winning car has been modified to allow all the detail to be seen with the body fitted. All of the body parts that are moulded in red in the standard kit are included and duplicated in a red tinted clear plastic. We would have preferred them to be completely clear without the colouring, but that's a matter of personal preference. Please note decals are included for both drivers but France is a 'No Smoking' race. This model will look fantastic built straight from the box or we can of course supply alternative race decals and various super-detailing parts for this kit if you are feeling more adventurous.

HASCR031

Lancia Rallye 037 'Martini' 1st Monte Carlo 1983

£27.00

Moulded completely in white plastic except for the windows and tyres, this is a very high detail kit of the spectacular Lancia group B car. Either the winning Monte Carlo car of Walter Rohrl or the second placed car of Marku Alen can be built from the kit and will look superb. The more experienced modellers may wish to open the rear engine compartment so that all of the detail can be seen better and there are also various aftermarket detailing parts available should you wish to stretch your skills further.

SPD024

Porsche GT1/97 Daytona 2001 #76 Texaco-Newman

£9.45

A pair of very well printed decal sheets. The Ferrari set is for the very attractive red, white and green JMB Racing machine of Alliot and Kutemann. Paper templates are included for masking the red and green, with the white sections supplied as decal. No masking problems on the Porsche as it's plain black! Paul Newman shared driving duties with Gunnar, Brockman and Jackson in the Texaco and History Channel backed car.

Porsche 996 Carrera 4 Cabriolet - Dark grey

£106.80

Beautifully finished models that are mostly accurate. The only queries we have are that the roll-over bar on the NART Spider models is too low - it should be level with the top of the windscreen, not the seats. This car was ordered for Steve McQueen by Luigi Chinetti and built by Michellotti. It would appear that McQueen didn't like the interior colour when the silver car was delivered as it was changed, the blue is definitely more tasteful! The 500 Mondial is a PininFarina bodied car but has a slightly different nose to those that we can find pictures of. The Porsche looks as it should and is finished in a very smart dark metallic grey with a dark red interior. We have photographed these models for our colour pages next time but show them in in b & w.
