We
have seen these basic sets of parts before and know that they will
build well and look superb. The Quattros represent the black, yellow
and green machine driven by Mouton throughout the 1981 season. The
yellow panels on the decal sheet look a little too 'golden' when compared
with photos of the 1,000 Lakes car but otherwise all looks good. In
Finland Mouton finished 13th overall and won the Ladies prize but
we can't find any results for the 1,000 Pistes event. The Integrale
is the fairly plain white Martini liveried car that was used by the
factory test team in France. There are no race numbers or drivers
names on the car.

| These kits all share the same superbly
cast, accurate looking body and have different wheels, tyres, decals
and ancillary parts for the various events. The Martini sponsored
Monte winner of Auriol also includes decals for Kankkunen, and the
other Martini sponsored cars then use this basic sheet with a supplementary
sheet for specific events. |

| The
Safari kit makes the 2nd placed car of Kankkunen but neglects the
other two team cars from the event while the San Remo kit offers either
winner Aghini or 2nd placed Kankkunen but not Auriol. Carlos Sainz
drove the Repsol sponsored car on selected events during the 1993
season with a best finish of 2nd place in Portugal. The wheel braces
add a little touch of realism to any 1:24th rally car model while
the light pod will fit any number of Escort Cosworth/ WRC models especially
those from the Monte. |

of these sheets are reasonably well printed. The crew decals include
enough for 12 figures and some of the pit lane equipment such as the
Stop/1st gear lollipop. There are no instructions with the GTO sheet
other than 'Car colour : bright green with red or silver wheels' printed
on the decal sheet itself. |

Using a BBR kit as
a base the 360 Modena has been built excusively for GPM in Italy to
the highest standard. The subject is the white 'Art Sports' limited
edition road car with red interior. The crew decals are printed by
Cartograf and each sheet includes the correct logos for 2 drivers,
6 mechanics and 4 technicians. These are ideal for use with Denizen
figures.

| All of the decal sheets are clearly printed with well drawn placement diagrams but offer little else by way of instructions. The Alpine A110 trans-kits include very well cast resin parts for front spoilers and - in the case of 24122 and 24123 - wheel-arch extensions. All the A110 parts are for Tamiya but we're not sure what the 206 or R8 parts are to fit. The manufacturer presumably knows what these items are intended for use with and what colour the vehicles are and it would be nice if they shared this information with their customers!
The service tents consist of laser printed card with metal poles. It is fairly obvious how the tent canopy is intended to fold and written instructions are given - in French - for pole lengths, etc.
