Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Also available ABC1804BM4 Moss ABC1804B kit It seems that most Maserati affiliated drivers present had a go in the Scuderia Buell Maserati 450S at some point over the race weekend in Havana in 1958 though Trintingnant drove it in the race after Fangio had been kidnapped the night before! The shape of ABC’s model looks very good and the main dark blue paint finish is excellent. We see plenty of small etched fasteners around the neatly cut windscreen, there’s plenty more etch in the cockpit and the decals on the bodywork are neatly placed. Impressive a piece though this model is, it is let down by a few smaller details. The exhaust isn’t great, the Firestone tyre sidewall decals are massively oversized and there should be a Maserati trident badge inside the front grille opening. The last two are relatively easily corrected but that shouldn’t be necessary and let down what is otherwise a very nice model.
