ABC Brianza - Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Pickup 1:43 model
Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine We're not sure how ABC are stumbling across some of these more obscure subjects but long may it continue. The photographs in the kit instructions of the real vehicle show it looking rather sorry for itself and awaiting restoration, so a small amount of artistic license has been used. The converted pick-up truck was used as a support vehicle by Bianchi for their very successful cycle racing team in the early 1950s. The kit parts will need a little work in terms of cleaning up panel engraving and there are a couple of awkward bubbles in our sample kit's main body moulding. Once prepared for paint, some very careful masking will be needed for the white flash on the side of the vehicle and we feel that this would have been better as a decal. On the hand built ABC have done a pretty good job on the masking but the edge isn't pin sharp everywhere. The etched parts are nicely thought out and look good on the finished model. An interesting Alfa Romeo and for the advanced kit builder, one with great potential. We wonder how many will use the photos of the rusty original as inspiration?
