Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine One thing that Franco Sbarro’s designs can never be accused of is being boring and this machine, allegedly powered by a mid-mounted Ferrari V12 engine certainly divided opinions among commentators at the 2008 Geneva show. Some called it genius, another the ‘ugliest car I’ve ever seen’ and another what happens when car designers are given LSD. All are relevant and just to make sure that the outrageous design wasn’t overlooked by show goers, it was painted in vivid metallic orange. The kit parts include lots of small etched and thin cast pieces for some of the more complex details and the main bodyshell should only need a modest amount of work before painting. The hand built looks very striking from cabinet distance, though there were a couple of blemishes on the rear on our sample. Take your time and you’ll have another impressive piece in those concept car collections.
