Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Also available ALEAC047 red The second in Giugiaroís ĎAcesí series, following the Audi-based Asso di Piche (ALEAC031), the Asso di Quadri (Ace of Diamonds) was built on the chassis of a BMW 320 and was a joint project with Karmann who it was proposed might build it. The car was unveiled at the Turin show and was initially painted silver, being repainted soon after in red. Alezanís model captures the shape of the car very well, though the paint on our silver sample does have a number of blemishes with paint puddling above the wheel arches, a common issue for a number of model makers creating silver cars. This is only visible close up and from cabinet distance it looks fine.
Simple and accurate resin kits but very basic instructions. Range suitable for newcomers to our hobby due to simplicity of kits. Some kits also available built. ALEAC references are built only and very limited editions with production numbers often only in double figures. Made in France
