Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine The XJ41 coupe and XJ42 roadster were developed together and the origins of the project go back to the late 1970s with Pininfarinaís XJ-Spider concept (ALEAC032/ALEAC045). The constant changing of specifications kept pushing the project further back from an original production target of 1986 and when Ford took over Jaguar in 1989, the bean counters scrapped it, though many of the styling cues found their way into the Aston Martin DB7 and Jaguar XK8. Alezanís models capture the shapes of the cars, particularly in profile, pretty well and the final finishes on our samples are neatly applied, the deep metallic red on the Roadster particularly. Alezanís modelling style of using decals for lights is a little outdated but otherwise theyíre fair representations.
Simple and accurate resin kits but very basic instructions. Range suitable for newcomers to our hobby due to simplicity of kits. Some kits also available built. ALEAC references are built only and very limited editions with production numbers often only in double figures. Made in France
