Alfa Model 43 - Alfa Romeo 8c 2900B Spider Touring 1:43 model
Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Alfa Romeo 8c 2900B Spider Argentina 1948 Little is known of this late 1930’s Touring Spider prior to its arrival in Argentina when already a decade or so old and under the ownership of Carlos Menditeguy. The model appears to be based on the car as it appeared in the inaugural race meeting at the Buenos Aires circuit in 1952 and the decoration checks out pretty well. The finish is to the usual pretty high standard that we see from AM43 with excellent paint and plenty of fine photoetch and for the most part checks out well with the one race photo that we’ve found. The only difference is that in the photo of the car, the race number on the door has been created by cleaning off the dirt, not painted as on the model. The photo is pre-race and we suspect was taken when the number man went to find his paint pot! So we must assume the model to be correct.
About Alfa Model 43
Well finished and presented resin hand built models. Good paint and a modest amount of carefully applied photo-etch detailing. Subjects usually the slightly more unusual Alfa Romeo subjects, plus a few Ferraris, again rarely modelled versions. Made in Italy.
