Also available TRO165P - kit 1960 was a pivotal year in the history of top flight single seater motor racing. Cooper had shown the potential of the mid-engined layout in 1959 and the following year other teams gradually followed suit. Ferrari took a while to come round to the idea of having the engine behind the driver but created F1 and F2 cars. The latter enjoyed much success with von Trips winning several races including that at Solitude Park near Stuttgart. The car was quite a cumbersome looking machine and the very well finished model here captures the bulbous shape nicely.
Relatively simple and generally well finished hand built models, usually based on previously released Barnini and Tron kits. Completed models presented in individual cases, usually with a numbered certificate. Made in Italy.
