Ferrari 250 GT Drogo 1963 Silver by Bee Bop

Chassis 2735GT was the second 250SWB to be rebodied by Drogo the car having started life as the Rob Walker machine driven with great success in 1961 by Moss but was taken to Drogo in 1962 by its new owner Chris Kerrison after a heavy crash at Goodwood. The first model here shows the car as it first returned to the UK. The shape looks good and the satin silver paint finish matches the period photos. The car was still in silver on the Tour de France and on this version we see an additional spot lamp on top of the nose. The placement of the front race number is slightly too far forward, but otherwise the decoration is well placed. For the 1964 season the car had been repainted metallic green and it is in this form that it appeared in the Spa 500kms, failing to finish. On all of the models the vacformed windows aren’t a great fit, which is a shame as they are otherwise well finished.
