Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Ford Mustang Sebring 1966 Foyt Also available BOS013BM built The Sebring 4-Hour race in 1966 was the first Trans-Am event and went almost unnoticed by the media of the time, though that would soon change. In that first race there was a forty four car grid but only nine of those, including this Mustang, were over two-litre. AJ Foyt led the opening laps but was delayed at his first pit stop and like most of the other larger cars he suffered from excessive brake wear and eventually retired. The kit parts are very similar to those in the Automodelli Studio Mustang kits that we’ve seen recently and are very well cast. The car ran with no bumpers and with body-colour pressed steel wheels, so the painting and detailing will be very simple.
Reasonably well cast white metal kits that build with ease. Open wheeled subjects usually accurate, road cars not always so. With hand-built models again single seaters usually better. Made in England.
