ABC Brianza - Rolls Royce Silver Wraith Sedanca de Ville 1:43 model
Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Hand built also available ABC262 It took quite a bit of digging to identify exactly what it is that ABC have modelled and eventually we tracked down the vehicle of which there are a couple of slightly indistinct pictures in the instructions. The car, chassis WOF5, was Hooper’s showcar for the 1951 London Motorshow. Our initial confusion stemmed from not being able to find a photo of the car with the front roof section removed, rather fundamental to a Sedanca de Ville, but eventually we did. The model is cast not only with a closed roof but also with a conventional sunroof, which is just plain wrong. The panel engraving for the rear doors is also slightly wrong for this car, but as half the engraving is missing anyway, kit builders will need to re-scribe lines. While you’re at it, the sunroof needs filling and the targa style panel re-cutting too. A Google image search using the chassis number brings up plenty of images of the car at Tecnoclassica a couple of years ago so that the panel lines can be seen. Still, the photo-etched parts are very nice.
