Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Hand built also available - ABC268 This 911 prototype was something of a mystery and the only photos that we initially managed to find of the real thing were those that ABC have included on the instructions. We eventually discovered that it was a pre-production car, so perhaps it should be called a 901? The basic 911 shape can be seen in profile and at the rear we see small round lights set into a plastic shroud, similar to a 911R, and two stabilising fins. The front is even stranger with what appears to be a large air-intake and this leads us to speculate that the car may have been water cooled. ABC’s kit captures the shape of the car well looking at those front and rear 3/4 images and there is plenty of fine etch for smaller details such as window frames. A definite oddity and a must have for the serious Porsche collector.
