ABC Brianza - Mercedes 680S Saoutchick Roadster 1:43 model
Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Hand built also available - ABC275 The Mercedes Benz 680S was one of the fastest machines of its day and the Saoutchik bodied roadsters accentuated the performance with their low slung lines and subtle detailing. The car modelled here is one of twelve longer wheelbase versions built and the restored car is one of a pair that appeared at Retromobile and Tecnoclassica in 2009. The shape of the main body looks pretty good, though some work will be needed to tidy up the castings, especially around the lower edges and the swept front wings. The main road wheels are simple machined discs as the insides canít really be seen but the spare wheels are supplied as wires over which etched disc covers go on the outside faces, as the insides will be visible. A nice touch and there are plenty more fine etched details.
