ABC Brianza - Rolls Royce Phantom I Coachcraft Sport Saloon 1:43 model
Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine ABC list this subject as a 1929 car and that may well be true of the chassis but the body is newer. Coachcraft started making bodies in the mid 1930s and in addition to making standard styles for Railton and a few others, they also had a nice little business putting modern bodies on older chassis. The body in this kit certainly matches the profile of the machine in one of their adverts in 1938. The kit body is generally well cast with very little in the way of feed tags and the panel engraving is precise, though a little feint, so be careful not to flood it during painting. Etch is included for window frames, bonnet sides, light lenses and fine details such as the treads on the running boards and the cast disc wheels have separate plated hubcaps. Take your time and this will make a very handsome model.
About ABC Brianza
Well cast kits, usually resin but occasionally metal, with a good level of p/e detail. Accuracy sometimes questionable but usually pretty good. Good clear instructions. Built models usually to a very high standard. Larger scale kits for the experienced builder only. Made in Italy.
