Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Hand built also available - ABC277 The Castagna company ceased to exist in the 1950s but in 1995 the name was resurrected for this one off special built on an Alfa Romeo SZ chassis. The SZ was no classical beauty but this thing is downright fugly, particularly from the front where we see a very unfortunate grille design. The kit parts are generally well cast and we see finer panel engraving than on the previous new subjects in this delivery. We’re not quite sure how well the etched window frames, fine as they are, will work when building and you may wish to use it as a template to cut some tinted acetate instead. There is a nice crisp recess to put the windows into and achieve the correct flush glazing effect. It’s certainly an interesting subject to add to those Alfa and styling collections.
About ABC Brianza
Well cast kits, usually resin but occasionally metal, with a good level of p/e detail. Accuracy sometimes questionable but usually pretty good. Good clear instructions. Built models usually to a very high standard. Larger scale kits for the experienced builder only. Made in Italy.
