Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine The Lagonda Rapide was based on a lengthened Aston Martin DB4 chassis and was launched at a time when Newport Pagnall was struggling to keep up with demand for their sports cars without launching a very expensive luxury saloon. Maybe itís just as well that only 55 were sold in two years with a remarkable ninety percent of those still in existence fifty years later. The panel engraving on these kit parts show what ABC are capable of when they put their minds to it and is nice and crisp. Thereís a little bit of cleaning up to do and some bubbles in lower edges but overall the kit parts look pretty builder friendly. The shape of the car is very good at the front but it looks as if it sweeps up slightly at the tail. Still an unusual subject and one of ABCís better efforts.
About ABC Brianza
Well cast kits, usually resin but occasionally metal, with a good level of p/e detail. Accuracy sometimes questionable but usually pretty good. Good clear instructions. Built models usually to a very high standard. Larger scale kits for the experienced builder only. Made in Italy.
