ABC Brianza - Maserati 2000 Gran Sport Spyder Frua 1:43 model
Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Maserati 2000 Gran Sport Spyder Frua1956 Hand built available ABC296 The car modelled here appears to be one which featured in Maseratiís 1956 brochure, but ABC include some rather clearer photos of the restored machine in their instructions for the kit. The huge concave radiator grille and protruding front quarter bumpers are rather at odds with the otherwise delicate lines of the car but these are both details that ABC paid attention to, the grille being supplied as multiple pieces of etch. The main body casting is pretty well proportioned but will need a bit of clean up. Be careful not to disturb the shallow lines moulded in to take side and bonnet trims, the latter will also be a help with the two-tone paint finish. One curious touch in the kit is the inclusion of some very fine cloth to cover the folded roof and looking at the hand built model, this can be very neatly fitted. A nice touch.
