Joseph Saoutchik was celebrated for his unique and flamboyant coachbuilding designs and by his standards this elegant coupe is quite discrete. The two-tone blue colour scheme was how the car appeared originally in 1950 and it survived in this form for over fifty years before being repainted a pale silver-green, having the bumpers removed and chrome wire wheels fitted during a restoration. The later colour suits the subtle lines of the car very well but the curves are accentuated more by the original livery. There is relatively little brightwork on the car and that which there is is delicately replicated using etch for the most part.
