Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Moto Guzzi Nibbio 2 LSR 1957 Count Giovanni Lurani deigned his first Moto Guzzi powered record machine in the 1930s and with his original Nibbio machine became the first to exceed 100mph in a 500cc car. In the 1950s he revisited record breaking with the beautiful streamlined Nibbio 2, powered by a 350cc engine mounted in a Volpini chassis clothed by Ghia. The car ran several times and it is from the last runs in 1957 that we see the car modelled here. This is the first kit produced by Dwindle and they’ve set the bar high. The packaging is very attractive and opening the box we’re greeted by a clear instruction sheet with parts list and directions in both Italian and English. The streamlined nature of the subject means that it’s a relatively simple kit based around two very high quality resin castings for the body and chassis plate. The wheels are in kit form with etched spokes, machined rims and tiny O-rings as tyres and the decals are clearly printed. An excellent first effort.
High quality resin kits & hand built models. Made in Italy.
