Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Roger Nathan had built a reputation as an ace tuner and racer of the Hillman Imp during the 1960s and for 1966 he joined forces with Frank Costin to develop a very successful small capacity sports racer, the Costin-Nathan. The chassis was a plywood monocoque with steel spaceframes to take the suspension and mid-mounted Nathan Imp engine. Bodywork was a flowing design by Costin and the slippery shape and light weight enabled Nathan to win his class in five of six races entered, including trouncing the works Abarths at Montlhery. Impressive for a small budget outfit. Ebbro’s model depicts a slightly later customer car and the shape looks very good. The paintwork is a deep BRG and the carefully placed yellow decal stripe sets this off perfectly.
Well detailed and very well finished die-cast and resincast models of (mostly) spectacular subjects. Also 1:10 & 1:24 quality plastic kits. Made in Japan.
