Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Macransa Tojiro-III 1966 When we first had a photo of this model we were unable to find any information, but now that we have the correct spelling of the car we’ve been able to get somewhere! This diminutive roadster was a one off built in 1966 by a young man named Minoru Hayashi and designed as a GRP monocoque to take Honda S800 mechanical parts. The tub was damaged during the build and so the full Honda chassis was used and a supercharger added to the engine. The car’s entry in the Japan GP that year was short lived as the supercharger belt failed but Hyashi-san went on to bigger things, founding the famous Dome race car manufacturing business. The car is modelled as it appeared a couple of years ago in an historic meeting at Fuji and the details and decoration match images from this event. A fascinating little oddball!
Well detailed and very well finished die-cast and resincast models of (mostly) spectacular subjects. Also 1:10 & 1:24 quality plastic kits. Made in Japan.
