Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine DB 8 Grand Sport Coupe 1949 Kit available ESD103 The only information that we have been able to find on this pretty coupe is a photo of the car from 1949 with Mme Deutsch (Mr Deutsch being the D of DB of course) standing alongside. The caption says that the car was Citroen powered and we suspect that it was the last car from the firm using that make of engine before the switch to Panhard. The basic shape of the car looks very good although some of the small details, particularly the window frames, are a little on the heavy side. The kit will be a simple build with well cast resin for most of the parts and the hand built model has a suitably period finish.
Beautifully cast, very simple resin kits and hand-built models. Kits include some white metal parts, minimal photo-etch and basic but useful instructions. Some subjects slightly let down by the rather crude cast wheels. Built models generally well built. Made in France.
