The Packard Super Eight 180 to give it its full name was Packard’s top of the line series and the long wheelbase limousine as seen here was the most expensive of them all. Among the interesting features, the eight cylinder engines were then the most powerful production car engines of the time and the optional air conditioning was a first for a series production car too, albeit at an additional cost equivalent to a decently equipped complete Ford! Esval’s model is finished to a high standard, with excellent paint and carefully applied fine trim both inside and out. The side windows look a little shallow when compared with photos of real cars but otherwise the shape looks pretty good. A range to watch with some interesting subjects to come.
