Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine We were slightly confused at first by this model as all records that we could find showed car #2 in the 1957 Nürburgring 1000kms to be a 450S. This car didn’t actually start the race, though it was driven by all of the works drivers at some point in practice. The choice to go with the 450S in the race was due to high speed instability of this smaller engined machine, not ideal at the best of times and certainly not in the Green Hell. Willem Oosthoek’s excellent 450S book provides us with photos of Fangio at the wheel during practice and this well finished model matches these.
About Faenza 43
Charming hand-built resin models of interesting and often obscure subjects. Paint finishes sometimes a little flat but otherwise very good. Made in Italy.
