Faenza 43 - Maserati 300S 1:43 model

Maserati 300S model by Faenza 43

Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine
We’ve split the 300S models here into two groups for the short and long nosed bodies. Short noses first and Bill Spear’s fifth placed car is smartly finished in red with no headrest. We see a fairing and tonneau on de Graffenried’s second placed car from Porto in 1955 and the same body format for the next two models, which are both of successful Swiss driver Benoit Musy who won the GP des Frontieres at Chimay for the second consecutive year in 1956, but failed to finish in Lisbon. Again we see a head fairing and hard tonneau on Jack Hinckle’s dark blue machine with which he finished eighth at Eagle Mountain. The last of this group is a works entry from Sebring. This car doesn’t have a headrest/fairing but needed it! Most of the photos that we have found show the car upside down and the unfortunate Carlos Menditeguy left for dead by corner workers, though he recovered from his injuries and continued racing for a few years afterwards!

About Faenza 43

Charming hand-built resin models of interesting and often obscure subjects. Paint finishes sometimes a little flat but otherwise very good. Made in Italy.
