Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Ferrari 375MM Road America 1958 #91 Jim Kimberley sold his 375MM to Detroit engineer Richard Lyeth in late 1955 and under the new ownership a number of changes took place. The original engine was sold to a power boat racer (and is now believed to be at the bottom of Galveston Bay!) and was replaced by a supercharged Corvette unit. At the rear a Lyeth Hi-Tork differential was fitted and the car grew a finned head fairing in the style of a Jaguar D Type. Lyeth continued to race the car, now called the Hi-Tork Special with plenty of success. The interesting hybrid looks particularly good in the white 1958 livery, but the matt aluminium finish is attractive too.
