Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Ferrari 340 America 1st Bergstrom 1953 #5 The first races on Bergstrom Air Base in Texas were deemed a great success with a profit of over $24,000 for local and military charities raised. The main event was a 200 mile race for modified sportscars and Jim Kimberley dominated in his Vignale-bodied Ferrari. The race photos that we have are all black and white but from these we can see that shape of the car looks pretty good and we know that Kimberley’s cars were traditionally finished in red with yellow numbers, just as neatly applied on the model. .
