Ferrari 225 S Sebring 1953 #8 by Faenza 43
Light blue is an unusual colour for an American racing Ferrari but period images confirm that Bill Spear’s Vignale 225S was indeed this shade when he and Phil Hill contested the Sebring 12 Hours and it makes for an attractive subject, albeit one which didn’t finish the race. Most of the details look good from race weekend photos, but the offset race number on the bonnet is on the wrong side.

About Faenza 43
Charming hand-built resin models of interesting and often obscure subjects. The various Ferrari and Maserati machines which ended up in SCCA races of the late 50s and early 60s are a particular speciality, but also plenty of machines raced in Europe too. Paint finishes sometimes a little flat )or should that be more realistic!?) but otherwise very good. Made in Italy.
