Ferrari 860 M 2nd Bridgehampton 1958 #99 by Faenza 43

Alternative version FAE282A de Portago Nassau FAE282B Fangio Caracas FAE282C Castellotti Cuba & FAE282D Kessler Lime Rock
Alfonso de Portago appears to have taken delivery of the ex-works Ferraro 860 Monza (Chassis 0602M) in Nassau as there is a photograph of him before the races outside his hotel with the car still painted red with a white nose. By race day it had been re-finished in pale blue with yellow stripes and in this livery he took second place in the Governor’s Trophy and third overall with a class win in the Nassau Trophy. After de Portago’s tenure, the car passed to Chinetti and was raced by a variety of drivers with Bruce Kessler taking a class win at Lime Rock and Bob Grossman driving several times including a second placed finish at Bridgehampton. The Nassau car is the only version we have found images for and the model matches these very well. The finish on all of them is good and the small visual changes make for appealing and unusual additions to any Ferrari collection.

About Faenza 43

Charming hand-built resin models of interesting and often obscure subjects. The various Ferrari and Maserati machines which ended up in SCCA races of the late 50s and early 60s are a particular speciality, but also plenty of machines raced in Europe too. Paint finishes sometimes a little flat )or should that be more realistic!?) but otherwise very good. Made in Italy.

A dedicated team, we provide the personal touch!
