FB Models - Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Coloniale 1:43 model
Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Commisioned by the Italian Colonial Office in 1938, this rather unusual version of the 6C 2500 Alfa went into production in 1941 after exhaustive testing and approximately one hundred and sixty examples were built in the next two years. The kit parts are very impressive with cleanly cast resin for the body, chassis plate, front and rear seats, centre bulkhead and a choice of open or closed roof. Panel engraving on the body is very neat and there are plenty of finely cast white metal ancillary parts. The decal sheet is common to both kits and includes a number of different military markings including American, presumably for a captured machine. The only difference that we see between the two kits here is the instruction sheet which in the Rommel version shows the completed and decorated model.
