Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Alfa Romeo 8C 2900B Spider Farina 1938 Hand built available FBM090AM This unique Farina-bodied 2900B was described in 1938 reports as being Alfa-works racing driver Giuseppe Farina’s personal road car and is believed to be based on one of the Mille Miglia racers. FB’s instructions consist of several colour photographs of the real car in its restored form and from these we can see that they’ve done a reasonable job of the shape although in profile the trailing edges of the rear wings look very high and you may wish to reshape these. There’s plenty of resin in this area to sand them down. The windscreen frame is a separate casting to prevent brakeage and this too is a little heavy. On the plus side, there’s plenty of excellent fine photo-etch and with care the potential is here for a very good model.
