Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine weight 700g
The kit manufacturers have been a little tardy with their 2010 F1 releases compared with previous years though we do have some confirmed releases for later in the year. This is the first chance that the publishers of this excellent Japanese magazine series have had to include the 2010 grid and they are all here in detail, from the front runners to the new boys. The photos of the cars were taken at Bahrain and for Ferrari, McLaren, Mercedes and Red Bull we are treated to four pages of high quality detail photos each. The other teams get two pages each and again the quality of the images is very good. There is also a section of Giorgio Piolo's excellent technical drawings comparing the year's new cars in fine detail. Looking back to historic subjects, a common theme is older Lotus racers and this time we have a very in depth look at the last version of the Lotus 79. There's more Lotus 79 content with photos of an excellent scratch built larger scale model which will no doubt inspire many more advanced modellers as we can see the techniques used. Kamimura-san finishes his conversion of the Tameo Willaims FW15C to make the FW15D and there are the top ten finalists of the magazine's modelling competition. As usual the text is mostly in Japanese but the pictures are multi-lingual.
Over the years we have created a library here at GPM and many collectors regularly ask us which books we use most and which are the most reliable source of information. We offer quality titles selected for their reference material content.
