Books - F1 Modeling #53, Formula One Tutorial for 2013
Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine weight 900g JAPANESE TEXT We begin this latest edition of the excellent Japanese photo resource with a preview of the 2013 season, entitled F1 Tutorial. This appears to be editorial comment and predictions, but is very text heavy which is a slight disadvantage to us non-Japanese readers. The next section is far easier to understand with superb photographs highlighting key details on the 2012 cars from the last seven races of the season. History next and a visit to the Japan Lotus Day at Fuji which saw many cars from the Classic Team Lotus collection on track. This also gave the photographers a chance to grab some detailed images of the early Lotus 49, particularly useful for those building a Hiro kit or looking forward to Ebbro’s release. On the subject of Ebbro there is an interview with their boss Kiya-san, although again the text has us defeated here. There are Lotus related model features with 1:12 builds of the Tamiya Lotus 72, one with the Hiro transkit. We then return to the 2012 cars and Giorgio Piola’s excellent technical drawings for the final races of the season. All in all another comprehensive roundup for the F1 modeller.
Over the years we have created a library here at GPM and many collectors regularly ask us which books we use most and which are the most reliable source of information. We offer quality titles selected for their reference material content.
