Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Penske’s PC6 was derived from the Formula 1 PC4 design and so Formula Models have taken the logical step of developing both models together. We saw the PC4 (FOR020) a couple of issues ago and the kit parts here follow a similar form for the early kits. The main body in the first batch is cast in white metal, which will need minimal clean up, and there are more metal parts for the engine, gearbox and larger ancillaries. The interior is based around an etched tub and there are more etched pieces for the smaller details both internally and externally. Once the initial casting run of kits is sold, production will revert to Formula Models more familiar resin. Kit builders have the opportunity to add a few more wires and hoses to the already well detailed parts should they so wish and apart from the lack of spark plug leads on the exposed engine (common to many makers) the hand built model looks spot on.
