Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Hand built models also available - FOR038M1, FOR028M7 & FOR038M71 Although Penske had enjoyed success already at Indy by the time the PC6 arrived, this was the first car that had actually been completely designed and built by the team. Tom Sneva led a three car assault on the 500 in 1978, taking pole position and eventually finishing second, while Andretti finished twelfth and Mears retired with a blown engine. Formula Modelsí kit offers the choice of any of these three and the main difference when building is the colour of the wing elements during painting and, of course, a few decals. The early kits are cast all in metal, though as with the PC4 (FOR020) and 1979 Indy winning PC6 (FOR021), Formula Models will revert to their more usual resin once the first batch have sold. It makes little difference which material your kit will be in though, the parts are all well cast and it should go together with relative ease to make a very smart model.
