Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Driver Set A (x3) Alternative version HIRP1065 Set B HIRP1067 Set C & HIRP1068 Set D These superbly sculpted figure sets include overall and, where necessary, helmet decals for a variety of drivers between them. Set A concentrates on Lotus with Fittipaldi in his 1970 overalls with Andretti and Peterson from 1978 along with a celebrating Colin Chapman. Set B has helmetless standing figures of Andretti, ‘Delaney’ (McQueen), Fittipaldi and Rindt, the latter correctly being noticeably taller than the others! For set C we start in the sixties with Bianchi and Clark and then move through the seventies with Rindt, Peterson and Villeneuve ending in the eighties with Senna. Finally the 1980s set features Mansell, Prost and Senna in Ferrari and McLaren overalls. Many of the limbs are cast separately to aid posing and painting and there are choices of heads with very identifiable facial features when not helmeted. Superb.
State of the art large scale kits using resin, white metal, photo-etch and CNC machined aluminium. Many kits are built onto a solid aluminium monocoque. For the more experienced builder. End result stunning. Also a selected range of excellent accessory parts for use with resin and plastic kits. New from 2012, also a range of 1:43 kits made with the same level of detail and precision as the larger offerings. Also an excellent range of photo reference magazines for a wide range of subjects. Made in Japan.
