History Car 43 - Stanguellini Testa Siata Spider 1:43 model
Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Stanguellini Testa Siata Spider Mille Miglia 1940 #7 Hand built available HIS079AM There is some confusion as to when Vittorio Stanguellini’s cars ceased to be Fiat specials and became a marque in their own right, but this 500cc streamlined roadster was certainly one of the first of the latter. Testa Siata refers to the Siata overhead-valve cylinder head fitted and period reports nicknamed the body shape as ‘the flying turtle’. That shape is pretty well replicated in this extremely simple kit and our sample has a red paint finish to the outer surfaces. We’d use this as a guide coat as there’s a little rubbing down still needed and the finish isn’t great. As a quick project it’s a bit of fun and a great addition to any Mille Miglia collection.
