History Car 43 - Renault 4CV Bosvin Michel Special 1:43 model
Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Renault 4CV BMS Mille Miglia 1953 Hand built available HIS080M This is not what History Car says it was to start with. Jean Redele (soon to be founder of Alpine) won his class on the Mille Miglia in 1952 driving a Renault 4CV (#2241) but that was a lightly modified production saloon, not a spider. The car modelled is actually the 4CV-based Bosvin-Michel-Special (BMS) which ran as race #2248 the following year, finishing fourth in class and so the race numbers included in the kit are wrong and we are also missing black roundels for the sides and nose of the car. This is doubly frustrating as the castings are among the best we’ve ever seen in this range! We have contacted the maker and expect the corrected decals to be forthcoming.
About History Car 43
