Books - Racing Demons, Porsche And The Targa Florio (Authors: Keyser, Koense, Manzo)
Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Racing Demons, Porsche And The Targa Florio We’ve been looking forward to this hefty tome on a golden era of the great Targa Florio road race and what a visual treat it is. The first Porsche entry was in 1953 and for the next twenty years many of the Stuttgart marque’s products took to the course, including Michael Keyser’s own 911 in 1972. The main focus is, of course, the German machines but there are also plenty of images of the other makes that they were up against which capture the variety of the competitors and also the drama of the Sicilian road circuit. The text tells the stories of the races and we are also introduced to the event with a summary of the history from the first running in 1904 until the German invasion in 1953.
Over the years we have created a library here at GPM and many collectors regularly ask us which books we use most and which are the most reliable source of information. We offer quality titles selected for their reference material content.
