Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine This book is perhaps ever so slightly premature as Carroll Shelby completed the first of his legendary Cobras in 1962, but they’re still in production with the old man in charge and a healthy order book gives no reason to doubt they won’t still be being made in 2012. There have been many Cobra histories over the years but most have concentrated on the glory days from the start of production and into competitive International racing through the mid-1960s. The author, a long time Cobra enthusiast/mechanic/owner/racer carries the story forward and we see the cars in historic competition today and also take a look in the current factory. The well written text is accompanied by a wealth of carefully selected photos, some familiar, some new to us and there are also reprints of various original documentation from the 1960s. All good stuff.
Over the years we have created a library here at GPM and many collectors regularly ask us which books we use most and which are the most reliable source of information. We offer quality titles selected for their reference material content.
