Books - Inside Shelby American (Wrenching & Racing With Shelby in the 60s) (Author: Morton)
Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Inside Shelby American (Wrenching & Racing) weight 900g by John Morton John Mortons name is best known in connection with his successes in Trans-Am races through the 1970s and in sports cars in the 80s, but his career started in the 1960s at Shelby. He initially attended the Shelby Performance Driving School as a young student in 1962 and asked Shelby there and then for a job, which he got! This is a first-hand account of those early years working for the Texan, with a unique behind the scenes look at the workshops and also Mortonís own amateur racing in a Lotus 7 which impressed the boss enough for him to get a works Cobra drive.
Over the years we have created a library here at GPM and many collectors regularly ask us which books we use most and which are the most reliable source of information. We offer quality titles selected for their reference material content.
